Ethernet networks are finicky things made up of a lot of delicate parts, and eventually something is going to go wrong, whether it’s slowdown from a faulty network interface card or complete loss of service because of bad cabling. The NetXpert 1400 IE Industrial Ethernet Cable Qualifier, with its included Network Diagnostic Tool, helps you troubleshoot whatever’s ailing your network quickly and easily so you can get back up and running at full speed.
Reduce your machine downtime with the qualifier’s ability to rapidly detect cable faults, give you a defined and documented network status before machine startup, and identify logical network problems through a battery of active network component tests including link, ping, traceroute, switch port identification, and LLDP and VLAN discovery.
You’ll also get qualification for your passive network components (supporting up to 4 wire industrial network cables), featuring a full color wiremap that shows you cable length and the distance to faults, including pair length. You’ll be able to test data transmission at speeds of 10 megs, 100 megs, or 1 gig per second.
All of this testing data isn’t worth much if it’s not recorded, and the NetXpert 1400 IE takes care of that part as well. Measurement data is stored inside an internal memory, and you can use an SD card for additional memory. If you’d rather analyze the data from a PC, feel free to utilize the USB connection.
